How to invite someone to the workspace through WhatsApp
Step by step to invite someone to the XBASE workspace using their WhatsApp number: you send the link from your WhatsApp and they join directly.

Invite someone from your team using only their WhatsApp number. You send the invite link from your own WhatsApp, and they join your workspace directly, already with the chosen role, without going through the account's initial setup.
What you need
- The Manage members permission in the workspace. Among the built-in roles, only Administrator has it.
- The person's WhatsApp number, with the area code.
- WhatsApp installed on your phone or computer, to send the message.
- Knowing which role to give. What each role can do is in Workspaces, members and roles.
Step by step
Open the workspace members
At the bottom of the sidebar, click the workspace name and then Invite. The Workspace members window opens. Another way: on the Workspaces screen, open the workspace and go to the Members tab.
Choose WhatsApp
In the Invite people block, click WhatsApp (next to Email).
Type the number and choose the role
Type the person's WhatsApp number with the area code and choose the Role. XBASE suggests Editor.
Create the invite
Click Send invite. The "Invite created! Now send it from your WhatsApp" window opens, with the number, the role and the invite link.
Send it from your WhatsApp
Click Open my WhatsApp. The chat with the person opens in your WhatsApp with the message and the link ready: just send it.
Prefer another channel? Click Copy link and paste it wherever you like.
Track the invite
The invite stays in the Pending invites tab until the person accepts. From there you can:
- Resend via WhatsApp: opens the window again to send the link;
- Copy link;
- trash icon: cancels the invite, and the link stops working.
What to expect
The person gets the message with the link and, ideally on their phone:
- Opens the link and taps Accept invite.
- Enters their name and email and taps Send code to email.
- Types the 6-digit code that arrived by email.
- If it's their first time in XBASE, creates a password in Create your password and taps Create account and sign in.
That's it: they land directly in your workspace, with the role you chose, and appear in Members. Next time, they sign in from the login screen with the email and password they created.
People who already have an XBASE account use the same email as their account: the invite is added to it, without creating a new password, and they keep signing in as usual.
